2022 Take a Bite Out of Cancer Red Fish Tournament Rules

These are the rules for the Oct 29 2022 Red Fish Tournament

All Texas Parks and Wildlife rules and laws will be enforced. All anglers must have a valid fishing license.

Fishing Boundaries- You may fish in any body of water that is located in Texas. You must NOT start fishing until Oct 29th 6pm.


Last video entry will be no later than 6pm on Oct 30th

The tournament is open to Kayak fishing, bank fishing, wade fishing, pier fishing and boat fishing!


Everyone on your boat MUST be entered in the tournament!

Artificial bait, dead bait, live bait, and cut-bait are allowed.

There is no rod or reel limit.

Any Fish that is Deemed Illegal or the secret item not shown in the video will result in all of the contestant’s fish disqualified. This includes mutilated and altered fish.

A Facebook Live video submission will be required to enter your fish. Go to www.facebook.com/groups/teamsharkatthemoon/ and Go Live on that page with your catch/measurement. Please be sure you know how to do this and are not trying the day of the tournament.

An adult must accompany any minor that is under the age of 16 unless permission is granted from us.

At the discretion of the organizer, a polygraph may be required to claim prize.

The number of entrants in the tournament will determine the amount of money that is paid out. Half of entries are being donated to benefit Sergeant First Class Matthew Smith

Guides are allowed to fish and/or guide in this tournament.

You do not have to check in before fishing and you may launch or walk on/in to any legal property or boat ramp.
